People are being invited to take part in an advent trail with a difference around Sudbury this Christmas with prizes up for grabs.

The ‘What’s the Story’ trail has already begun and will run until December 22, and people will be able to collect a map from the town library, town hall or participating shops.

A total of 20 different pictures are appearing in shop windows in the town, and people will need to match them to different Bible stories to win a prize.

Prizes for completed entries will be handed out at St Peter’s on December 22 between 10am and noon, alongside refreshments.

The trail is based on the idea of the Jesse Tree, a medieval advent calendar often found in stained glass windows, showing stories and characters from Jesus’ family tree.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the trail, which will be fun for all the family.
