The overall winner of the Mayor's Christmas Card Competition in Sudbury was allowed to press the button to start the print run of her victorious design.

Gini Ogle, 10, who attends St Gregory Primary School, visited Indigo Ross printers in the town and was shown around the studio on Woodhall Business Park.

The competition attracted a total of 530 entries from seven different schools in Sudbury and the surrounding area, and a presentation was held earlier this month at Sudbury Town Hall to celebrate the participants.

As well as pressing the button to start the printing of the mayor’s official Christmas card, Phil Roper from Indigo Ross also presented Gini with a special gift.

Sudbury mayor Sue Ayres also attended the printers to meet Gini and her school friends Daisy Ward and Joy Morelli.

The mayor’s cards will now be delivered to surrounding towns and to destinations overseas.
