Memories of those with dementia are needed to cover a special tree as part of an annual walk in Sudbury.

The Memory Walk, on October 6, is in aid of two charities: Decaf, which is part of the Bridge Project, in Sudbury, and Ansell Memories Café in Hadleigh.

Jerry Thatcher, who created the event in memory of his mother Kate, wants this year’s Memory Tree to be “completely covered with good wishes for those that the walkers are walking for or remembering”.

He is inviting anyone to write out their wish, thought, memory or prayer on a card no larger than postcard size and including a tie and bring it to the reception of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre in Sudbury or Hadleigh.

They can also be posted to Mr Thatcher addressed to SMW18, Sudbury Leisure Centre, Station Road, Sudbury, Suffolk CO10 2SU by Thursday October 4. To sign up go to www.SudburyMemoryWalk2018.eventbrite.co.uk
