Sudbury Area Cancer Support group will be on song when it is joined by musical guests at its next meeting.

The Christopher Centre Singers will visit the group to provide some musical therapy for sufferers with a singing session at its monthly meeting at the centre on Thursday March 28.

Group founder Ruth Worsley said: “We are delighted that the singers will be joining us.

“Music and singing is proven to be one of the best things to help improve people’s mental health, something people with cancer can struggle with.”

Ruth formed the support group four years ago after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and it now has more than 60 members on its books.

It holds meetings every fourth Thursday in the month plus regular coffee mornings and other social activities.

Membership is for those aged 18 or over. For more details go to the Sudbury Area Cancer Support Group page on Facebook.
