Sudbury Carnival was voted a great success, with colourful floats, live music and belly dancing adding to the fun.

The procession took the theme “Countries of the World.” It had to change its route this year because of roadworks, but hundreds of people still turned out to line the route and admire the floats.
An unusual attraction was belly dancing by members of Bellydanza Sudbury, which offers fun classes at AFC Sudbury.

The floats left Delphi Centre at midday and went along the new route to Belle Vue Park, where the entertainment continued until 9pm, with amusement rides, bouncy castles, Punch and Judy and lots of refreshments.
This year’s carnival royalty appeared, and there was live music from Route 66.

Many thanks to Andy Howes and Karen Naylor for their fantastic pictures, showing the carnival atmosphere!
