Community litter pick dates announced

Sudbury Town Council has announced the dates of its community litter picks for 2019.
There will be one a month throughout the year and Bradley Smith, community warden supervisor for Sudbury Town Council, said he was expecting a good response from the public.
“It’s open to all ages and in the past we’ve had children as young as four and people in their 70s,” he said.
“We try and make it a fun event, such as spooky Halloween dress for the October meet, and everyone really mucks in.”
The picks will concentrate on the areas in and around the Springland and Woodhall estates in Sudbury.
All equipment will be supplied on the day and Tesco supermarket will supply refreshments once the picks, which last around two hours, have finished.
The dates come as Sudbury Town Council announced this week that the Melford by-pass will get a major clear-up on February 13 and 14, although this will be carried out by contractors.
