Name/job: Bradley Smith, Community Warden Supervisor
How long have you lived/worked in Sudbury?
I have lived in Sudbury all my life and worked for Sudbury Town Council for 11 years always as Community Warden. The most rewarding aspect of my job is making a difference to the community I live and work in.
What are your interests/hobbies and how well are they catered for in the town?
I enjoy eating out and spending time in and around the Sudbury area with my son either walking or cycling, which makes me realise how important my job is to the community.
In your view, what are Sudbury’s top three attributes?
Sudbury’s top three attributes are the churches we have for example St Peters, St Gregory and All Saints, the beautiful water meadows and the open green spaces we can all enjoy.
Where is your favourite place to eat/drink in Sudbury?
My favourite place to eat and drink is a very local independent eatery Westons but enjoy eating at a variety of places in the town.
What is your favourite Sudbury shop and why?
Sudbury has a wonderful variety of independents and chains and there is always a great bargain to be had, while supporting my local economy.
What is your favourite walk around Sudbury and why?
My favourite walk is the Water Meadows with my son.
What in your opinion is Sudbury’s most inspiring ‘view’ and why?
During my working week I have the enviable opportunity to go up the tower of St Peters and All Saints churches and love the panoramic view I get from either of those of Sudbury.
Have you been to any events/theatre shows recently in Sudbury – can you review them in a few words?
I visit lots of events in the course of my job and enjoy all of them, as it takes a community to put on these events and Sudbury has a great one of those.
Any clubs or organisations in Sudbury that you would recommend or would like to highlight?
I get involved with the Scout Association and Meet up Mondays in The White Horse North Street. I have done a range of activities with the Scouts relating to recycling and graffiti. The Meet up Mondays is a great way for lonely people to meet up for a coffee and a chat.
Can you sum up in five words why Sudbury is such a great place to live and/or work in?
Stunning surroundings and lovely people
