Terence Rattigan’s Man and Boy will be performed by Sudbury Dramatic Society at the Quay Theatre next month.
First performed at The Queen’s Theatre in London in 1963, the ‘man and boy’ of the title are Gregor and his estranged son Basil.
When ruthless businessman Gregor turns up on Basil’s doorstep, seeking sanctuary from a damaging and corrupt business deal, his son is forced to confront the impact that his father has had on his life.
What is he willing to sacrifice for family loyalty?
As part of a cast of experienced SDS members, Gregor and Basil are played by Malcolm Hollister and Matt Byham, who are both familiar faces on the Quay Theatre stage.
Man and Boy is being directed by Nick Elliott – who starred in Ladies Down Under – in his directorial debut for Sudbury Dramatic Society.
Man and Boy is showing at The Quay Theatre from Tuesday, November 6, to Saturday, November 10 at 7.45pm.
Tickets are now available from The Quay Theatre box office on 01787 374745 or online at www.quaysudbury.com
