The classes have been organised by artist Anna Boon, who said the aim was to encourage people to give people a relaxed environment and encourage them to develop their skills.

“Everything is set up for when people arrive. You do’t need any experience, all they need to do is follow me as I run through each step and they should end up with a painting,” she said.

“It’s a bit of fun that gives you something to take home.”

All materials are provided, including aprons, paints, easels and the canvas. The finished canvas is then yours to take home safely, in a bag provided.

Originally from Cornwall, Anna settled in Suffolk 20 years ago with her young family. She graduated from Colchester School of Art with a Fine Art Degree in 2008 and since then has honed her artistic skills whilst teaching drawing and acrylic painting.

The next evening takes place on Thursday February 7. The sessions cost £30.
