Two Sudbury runners taking part in the London Marathon are holding an 80s themed disco to support their charities.
Sudbury Town Council assistant clerk Jodie Budd and friend Ann Alexander have organised the night at the Delphi Centre in Sudbury on March 16.
Proceeds will go to the British Blind Sport organisation being supported by Ann, and Children with Cancer chosen by Jodie.
The two friends only started running when they took part in the very first parkrun event in Great Cornard in 2014 - now they are taking on one of the world’s best known marathons.
Ann said: “I am not a fast runner and running does not come easy to me but the challenge for me is to finish!”
Fancy dress is optional for the fundraising night, which costs £12 per ticket or £10 per ticket for a table of 10 or more.
The evening includes a light buffet, a bar and a raffle.
Tickets for the 80s disco party event at the Delphi Centre are £12 each and are available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
